Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists to join our team. Cellular Pathology is a busy but friendly department processing more that 21,000 specimens per year and plays a vital role in the Trust’s diagnostic cancer service.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake roles in histology and cytology specimen preparation and processing as well as a range of specialist duties including immunohistochemistry, special stains, quality control and specimen dissection.

It is essential that the successful candidate has:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills – can work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Puts the patient first in all matters.
