Job Title: Junior Clinical Teaching Fellow (CT 1/ CT 2 level)
Department: Emergency Department
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £30,605 Plus banding (1A)

Are you at junior grade CT/CT 1-2 level (i.e. 1-3 years post qualification/post foundation level)?
Would you like the opportunity to consolidate your emergency medicine experience?

We are seeking to recruit a number of enthusiastic and hard-working doctors to join our Emergency Departments as Junior Clinical Teaching Fellows at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. These posts will be six months to one year fixed term posts in the first instance starting from 2 October 2017 with the possibility of longer term opportunities within the Trust subject to performance and progress.

These posts would be at aimed at junior grade CT/CT 1-2 level (i.e. 1-3 years post qualification/post foundation level) and whilst not approved training posts we would mirror the training opportunities to those given to training post holders. The JSD EM posts will allow you to consolidate your experience in a dynamic, supportive ED environment where there is a Consultant focus on training and development, giving you wide ranging clinical exposure and training in a progressive Trust that has won numerous national and local awards.

We would be keen to work with successful applicants and help you continue to build your Emergency Medicine Career. We envisage that the JCF would act as a stepping stone into specialty training and we would look to encourage and fully support successful completion of Emergency Medicine exams.

The successful candidates will have at least 2 years’ experience post qualification with FY2 competencies, full GMC Registration with a license to practice and up to date ALS certification. Recent acute hospital experience at CT1 level, or equivalent (within the last 12 months) of at least 6 months duration is essential. Previous Emergency Medicine experience would be desirable and knowledge of the workings of the NHS is preferable.
