Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with the University of Buckingham, is a University Teaching Hospital; we conduct research and teaching on site to improve the care of our patients . The hospital is undergoing significant investment and development including a new surgical ward, a new main entrance (allowing expansion of A&E services), a new Academic Centre and a planned new Cancer Centre.

An Engineer Plumber/Fitter are required to join a busy maintenance team. Experience of mechanical maintenance is essential, and electrical experience would prove a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will have experience of heating systems, air handling units, and a proven track record of general system fault finding regarding general building services plant.
Appropriate Mechanical City and Guilds Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent is necessary, and participation in the emergency on-call rota is essential.
A flexible attitude to an ever-changing work environment will be required to succeed in this challenging post whilst you will be joining a great team of estates professionals.
You will manage resources within the scope of the role.
You will have strong and effective communication skills, be motivated and have the ability to motivate others and work well under pressure. You will be enthusiastic with the drive and vision to assist move the service forward.
You will participate in an On-Call rota for Estates Services.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
