The hospital is undergoing significant investment and development including a new surgical ward, a new main entrance (allowing expansion of A&E services), a new Academic Centre and a planned new Cancer Centre.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for an Assistant Business Manager working within the Medical Director’s office (MDO). The Assistant Business Manager and Business Manager work with the Medical Director and clinical / operational managers throughout the organisation to manage medical appraisal, revalidation and job planning processes at the Trust. The role will also provide support for other MDO functions including project management of NHS England’s 7 Day Services and Clinical Excellence Awards. The postholder also supports the Guardian of Safe Working.
Familiarity with terms and conditions of service for doctors and experience of working directly with doctors at all levels of seniority is required. Prior knowledge of appraisal, job planning and medical workforce tools (i.e. appraisal, job planning and rota software) would be advantageous.
