Rheumatology Advanced Nurse Practitoner

The Rheumatology department at Milton Keynes University hospital is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic nurse to become our Advanced Nurse Practitioner in rheumatology and to join our vibrant and welcoming team. You will become part of a forward-thinking team which has significantly evolved during these times of change to continue providing excellent patient care whilst supporting and developing a growing department.
It is expected that the individual will work as a clinical expert and role model and provide practice development and leadership within a multi-disciplinary environment. This role leads and facilitates the delivery of all nurse led aspects of the Rheumatology service.
The successful candidate will be an independent competent nurse who is able to work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with an Independent prescriber qualification or is working towards this qualification. Rheumatology experience is desirable however strong leadership skills and experience in service development is paramount as it is expected this service will continue to grow and change to meet the changing needs of the local population. You will be expected to act as an autonomous practitioner, provide clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting with diagnosed rheumatology conditions as well as those with chronic diseases.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
